When Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez return from their upcoming wedding in Venice, Italy, they may find new neighbors — and the sounds of construction — waiting for them.
Back in December 2024, a 1.84-acre waterfront parcel at 9 Indian Creek Island Road hit the market for a staggering $200 million. While the location on Miami’s ultra-exclusive “Billionaire Bunker” certainly added value, the biggest selling point was its proximity to Bezos himself. Many assumed he might purchase the land, but he didn’t — according to the Wall Street Journal.
Instead, the buyer turned out to be an international finance executive who secured the site for $110 million — a full $90 million under the asking price. The seller originally purchased the property in 2018 for approximately $27.5 million. A luxury developer had even drafted plans for a mansion on the lot, hinting at future construction.
Bezos, already heavily invested in Indian Creek Island, owns three properties there — two adjacent parcels and another across the island — with a combined value around $237 million.
Indian Creek’s elite roster of residents includes Tom Brady, Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump, and Carl Icahn.
